Job Details

  • Serve as the nursing leader and educator on your assigned unit.
  • Direct patient care from admission through discharge, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the medical team and other clinical disciplines to create individualized care plans.
  • Respond promptly to prevent re-hospitalizations and handle emergency situations following protocols.
  • Educate and support nursing staff in clinical competencies like wound care, ostomy care, and medication administration.
  • Perform advanced clinical tasks, including IV insertion, PICC line care, and G-tube or trach care.
  • Review and sign off on assessments completed by LPNs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to care standards.

Skills You Need

  • Active RN license in New York State.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
  • CPR certification.
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred, but not required.
