Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient International Radiology

Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York City

Health System: Major Health System in NYC

Shift: 4 Days / 10-Hour Shifts (Monday - Friday)

Hourly Pay: $55 - $65 per hour

Job Summary:

Join a dynamic, world-class healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Outpatient International Radiology department. This intermediate-level position is ideal for nurses with at least two years of experience in ER, telemetry, or radiology, who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, outpatient radiology setting. As part of a major healthcare system in NYC, you’ll be working in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, providing specialized care to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient radiology procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, patient education, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure the safe and effective delivery of diagnostic imaging services.
• Monitor and manage patient vitals, reactions to contrast media, and sedation as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation of all procedures and patient responses.
• Ensure a high standard of patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout the entire radiology process.
• Respond to any medical emergencies, applying advanced clinical skills as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructions.
• Utilize Epic electronic health records (EHR) system to document patient care, order medications, and communicate with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Required:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• At least 2 years of RN experience in emergency room (ER), telemetry, or radiology.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to handle complex patient care situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Preferred:
• Experience with Epic Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
• Previous experience in an outpatient radiology setting.
