Position Description

The Division is comprised of the Bureau of Maternal Infant and Reproductive Health, the Bureau of Early Intervention, the Office of School Health, and the Bureau of Administration.

Duties: 2 positions

  • Apply the nursing process to assess the six prescribed NFP domains, including physical, emotional, social and environmental needs of women and their families as they relate to health and life course development.
  • Provide counseling to assist women & their families in attaining targeted goals in areas including prenatal & postpartum care, nutrition, parenting, childcare, family planning, special health problems, housing, continuing education & employment etc...

Qualification Requirements

1. A license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from a regionally-accredited college or university, or one recognized by the New York State Education Department as following acceptable educational practices; and a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in maternal/child health, pediatric health or a closely related field, in a public health, community-based, hospital, clinic or home visiting setting.
